  • Servings : 1 cup
  • Prep Time : 30 min

Hung Curd and Mint Dip are low fat and healthy dip flavored with garlic and mint. It is very similar to tzatziki (Mediterranean Dip) but not exactly the same. This dip is healthier than tzatziki because it has no olive oil.

If you have Greek yogurt available in the market, could use instead of hung curd. It is a delicious dip for grilled veggies and pita chips. I always served hung curd and mint dip with mild flavor cutlets like quinoa cutlet, Poha Cutlet, and Maggi cutlet.

  • Hung curd ½ cup
    Fresh Mint leaves/Mint powder 2-tbsps/ ½ tsp.
    Garlic 1 tsp (3-4 cloves)
    Red chili powder ¼ tsp
    Chaat masala ½ tsp
Salt ¼ tsp or to taste
    Lemon Juice 1 tsp

Step 1

Fine chop the mint leaves (if you are using fresh mint I have used dry mint powder) and grates the garlic in the fine grater. Put the hung curd in the mixing bowl and whisk till it becomes smooth. Add mint, garlic and hung curd in the bowl and mix it well.

Step 2

Now add red chilly powder, chaat masala and salt and whisk it well. Add lemon juice and mix it.

Hung curd dip is ready to serve with pita chips or as your choice veggies I have served with quinoa cutlet.

1. Hung curd can be prepared in 2 hrs for this dip.

2. If the dip is too thick, add a little water.
